dearly beloved

for the past few days it seems that everytime i lay on my bed, ready to go to sleep, the gamsat test creeps into my head. today i decided to separate the associations of sleep with gamsat. to do this, i made a list of all the topics that i could think of that came on the test. there weren't a lot that i could remember, and it seems the questions themselves seem so far away - but still, i think i felt traumatised by how many questions i found hard on the test day. i hope to get better sleep tonight knowing that i've written out the topics. yay for brains being weird.

mirror's edge

classy me. i feel nostalgia for playing pc games. one of which i am looking forward to playing.. after the exam that of course - is mirror's edge. something about the fast pace of that game, coupled with amazing graphics and the heart-stopping jumps.. totally miss it :<
panic isn't enough to keep my motivation up, i need to really grill down with revision.
did a sec 1 half exam, and got 59% on the paper.. now that looks all yummy on the outside but i remember the damn questions.. even though i had done it back in august! so.. that counts as cheating because i did the paper before, right? the questions which i haven't done before (the ones i normally guess at the end) i scored 62% (8/13) which is great if i wasn't doing the paper timed! i need to speed up :/

section 1 and 3 half test done, awaiting discussion over at scribblar. more biology done this week.. there is so much more material left to cover, i feel really annoyed with myself.

paradigm shift

today i was actually disappointed to find a job interview offer in my mail box, DISAPPOINTED! last year i would have been dancing around my room.. what the hell is wrong with me?!
astaghfur allah al'atheem...
I should look at this more positively.
at least its not a healthcare assistant job per se.. agh they are all the same are they not? cleaning poop/wee from an unfortunate soul stuck in the hospital because they happen to be sick? *sighhh..*
moar biochemistry done today along with sec 1 material. i really need to improve my sec 1, its complete ridicule compared to august last year. marked some of it.. i think i may have been half asleep answering some of the questions. i can't make silly little mistakes like this in the actual exam.

the hardest part

is establishing order. today has been quite a mess, a constant struggle trying to keep everyone happy...i started revising sec 1 when i got through 14 questions i just wanted to stop, it was overwhelming reading texts again and again just to get the nitty gritty little things that tell you its the right answer. so i took a break and the whole day just went! feeling guilty now :( will finish off section 1 questions and move on to review the blue acer booklet to prepare for the online study session.

on other news, i finally got my copy of the meaning of things by a c grayling. hoping that this book would be a more interesting read to complement the revision :D
i've read the intro, was cool, hoping to read 1 chapter of it a day till exam day or till book is finished..

i also got another book about how to live life..... >.> yeah i know i've been hanging around the weird books section. i'm a quarter through that book and i got to say i like how the author is so chilled in his words, its really interesting reading it. its not a book i would normally read but its equally relevant and interesting, kupo?
on another unrelated note, i completed final fantasy 13-2 fully overnight (did not interfere with revision time yesterday), and zomg the ending was amazing. there were some themes in the game that i've actually been thinking about, and would be relevant to university interviews.. even though none of my questions were answered, it was lovely seeing the past/future manifest and getting a perspective, despite being fictional, equally significant. i wish noel was real, i think we would get on really well.. *sigh* japanese video game heroes *sigh*

organised mess

to my surprise, today i realised that i have to organise when to do practice questions - as i opened a verbal reasoning book i realised it has many many practice tests.. which cannot be crammed into a single day's revision. i had to pause and rethink my revision timetable. its difficult to decide on what you need to do for the day when you have just glanced over the book's cover annd had no idea whats inside!!!! silly mistakes..
though knowing that there is more practice in the book just makes me anxious even more. would i have enough time to go through it all?

blue booklet section 1

did the test again today following last week's crap attempt and got 28 out of 35 - slowly getting there. so about reading material.. where does one read to improve section 1 score?

this fire

can i complain? i hope i can.. this place is a gamsat log, and so i have something to moan about - sorry in advance! so with my situation at the moment, i'm working 2 jobs, that means i work 7 days a week, each day i work 8 hours + 2 hours of travel (each day) + 1 hour for dinner = 10 hours already gone from my 24 hours. i take 8 hours on average for sleep, this leaves me with 6 hours left. lets say i spend 3 hours a day revising.. where on earth does the other 3 hours go?! ok so 1 hour to get ready for work or 2 hours to wash & get ready for work.. what on earth am i doing for those extra few hours?! when i count them up like this it sounds like i'm using my time productively right? it really doesn't feel like it :/
revision timetable has been just about ok & manageable, but i can't seem to fit any practice questions/essays time in the revision slots. this is really frustrating me. it takes 2 hours to do a paper (section 1 practice) and at least an extra 2 hours going through the answers.. or at least theoretically that is dependent on how much time i could spend looking at explanation for answers.
i've got to do something, it feels like i can barely have any time to revise.. i need to do some practice questions too >.< i don't feel like i'm putting enough time into this, and its all crucial really.. i can't fail this time round, i just can't.

We are all connected

gcse physics done :D gosh thought that book would never end! section 1 you're next!

i'm having trouble with HR at the hospital regarding my references, where could one hire an assassin to infiltrate their headquarters and assassinate their leader? i could really use an ezio right now *sigh*
