moar essay madness

just realised, thats 3 essays done this week - 1 more left to go and we have a status quo
my VO max was complete rubbish today i feel like i'm back in the dark ages again aghh.. i hate stopping exercise - its nothing intentional but when you're sick, you're sick! what can you do that will count as exercise without the flu symptoms completely destroying your mood to work out?
i found the perfect fix to stop me wanting a nap in the late afternoon - apply foundation!!!! ehehehe
merry christmas by the way :>

inconsistent yet provocative

stone sour
day 2 has been a complete inconsistent, some people think they can get away with things while others believe that they could be ever so responsible that allow me to do nothing. everything that happens would inevitably come down to the fact that i have not had my induction, or uniform, or training to allow me to carry out my role.
nevertheless things will fall into place eventually and i should really draw my concern away from work issues to more prevalent and important aspects of my life that would inevitably affect my future. i have to tread carefully and concentrate on whats really important, everything else will be ignored. inner peace really has its down falls, you have to pick your battles carefully, and kindness has to be out of everything you do, doesn't matter who you're dealing with, everyone is human and so deserves to be treated equally, no matter how much of a dumb ass you think they are. important thing is that you're there and you can make a difference in someone else's life, be it hell, or for the better.
speaking of concentrating on important bits - i need to get back to exercising regularly. for the sake of my sanity and others'! today i found myself bored to death with conversations about 'cute pets'. despicable time-wasting and empty conversations about nothing. whats worse, its between middle-aged women... common there has to be more interesting things to talk about. hey how about the NHS strike? will you be striking your foot in your boss's mouth and calling it a bank holiday? oh its on the 10th of May - have fun. please save me from this place and these people :/

did you just say that?

painful wrist :(
behold, my first A&E incident. doesn't it look cool?! well looks are deceiving because it hurts like hell :(
x-rays say that i haven't fractured anything but jeez look at it, that haematoma doesn't grow that big if nothing is broken! i hope nothing is broken >.<
it hurts to flex my hand so i'll keep this post short & get some rest. ouch =_=;;

K2 Celena 90 Speed fitness inline skate review

black rock shooter
I've been so excited to get these skates the colours and textures remind me of black rock shooter textures and colours merged all together! considering black rock shooter has just been released, i believe that these boots will gain more popularity among anime lovers!

K2 Celena 90 Speed custom model
i did so much research to find the best pair of skates to get (at an affordable price).. and this is my result:

k2 celena speed skates: 90mm/83a wheels, ilq 9 bearings (classic), mid-cuff soft boot with quick lace system (speed lace)

the main intended use for these skates is for long distance skating & fitness skating. inline skating has been known to be far more effective at muscle tone and burning calories than running or cycling. I bought these skates because i've been nostalgic for skating & i needed something to give me that adrenaline boost from speed... yup!

one obvious difference between the celena speed and the normal celena model is the lacing. the speed model has a quick-lace built in which basically saves you tying a knot at the top of the boot - this feature is different from boa, but is still used, as seen in the recent 2012 celena model.

the other difference is that you get a riveted boot - which basically means you won't have to tighten screws below the boot (girl friendly!). you also get the 'speed' engraving on the boot next to celena logo.

one thing thats actually different between the pair i got and the ones displayed on the internet is that the speed model i purchased did not have those spungy white looking things holding the laces but instead you get a standard k2 soft boot styled lacing holes. this is actually much better in my opinion because the ones available on the internet don't really look very strong.

Speed lace on K2 Celena 90 Speed custom model
after testing these boots inside the house they were amazingly responsive to strides, even on carpet - they glide really well and quite fast. its almost like ice skating with these boots, so you do have to be very careful because these can go faster than the standard boots sold here in the uk.

outside the house, these babies are amazing. they are very stable once you get rolling and gaining speed is relatively simple and effortless. i did have trouble turning corners with these skates but perhaps its because i'm so used to basic 72mm beginner wheels.. i suppose i just need more practice. don't try to turn forcefully while stationary as these skates could sometimes be quite unstable thus leading to some falls. i suggest wearing 1 skate at a time on each leg before attempting to skate properly if you're a beginner because the speed they reach may need some getting used to.

check the road regulations if you plan to skate on busy streets - these skates are hard to emergency stop, especially if you're a beginner/intermediate user. i believe the ilq 9 bearings are to blame - they are both smooth and fast. one way to fix this is to buy a pack of 80mm wheels (not 84mm wheels! as those feel very similar but not as fast as 90mm wheels) with abec 7 bearings and once you're comfortable with those then switch to the 90mm wheels.

these boots are true to size but you have to be aware that anything below a UK size 6 (EU 39) is going to have the 84mm wheels. the colours are exactly as seen in this picture of the boot, it feels very light on the feet and has a snuggle fit for medium-narrow shaped feet.

be aware that lacing should be retightened after the first 15mins of use as the softboot does mould to your feet and may feel slightly wide with use. after this retightening there should be no problems skating for the remainder of the time.

i have found that the sports socks have given my feet a better fit in these boots.

so far, these skates have been very impressive and i am very pleased that i purchased the speed model instead of the normal celena model. the extra perk in lacing makes these boots look funky and easier to put on.

comfort: 8/10
design: 10/10
specification: 9/10

therefore overall rating: 9/10

speaking of black rock shooter - i made this fire-like eye a while back for my call of duty black ops player card logo, enjoy :)

moar life & skates

so today was the last day of work experience. i have to say that without those amazing people, i would have probably combusted a long time ago. its amazing how when you're about to lose control and someone comes in and offers you a saving hand, its very inspiring and i will always treasure the experience gained from this work throughout. valuable lessons were learned and i can actually say, i'm proud of myself. i never thought i'd embark on such an amazing route, and a steep curve of a completely different learning experience, for once in my life, i can actually say to myself: you did good.  alhamdu'allah alatheem

i really feel like i need to get back to skating, today i did megaz0r research on the best inline skates to get considering that my £15.00 pair destroy my feet everytime i use them. besides, i don't actually know where i've put them LOL
so, i found a reasonable pair, at a somewhat reasonable price, from france! insha'allah this year i can better myself in other ways too, i really hope to get back into skating, i really enjoyed it when i was younger, and i continue to long to do so again. this pair is an investment and a promise to myself, as well as an award for all my hard work. i feel like i deserve a different type of destressor, and i hope that i'll make friends who share my passion for skating too on the way. heres the pair i bought:

comfort, speed and design really grabbed my attention in this beauty, and considering that there was only one size left, i took the honours of claiming it mine :3 insha'allah it will be as good as it has been rated, i really want to get back into skating. i'm so excited!

who's going to save the world tonight?

today has been like living in someone else's life.. i woke up from a dream of watching myself skydive... without a parachute, diving through the air saving someone while grabbing something that i had lost before my jump (off the plane).. ehh i wasn't scared, i wasn't in pain, i wanted to grab this one thing, which i did and resumed to diving towards that person... i can't tell if that was a boy/girl but meh.. i guess that didn't really matter at the time.
went to work experience, helped out where i can, made a few phone calls, ate lunch, helped out a lil more on computers and called it a day. on my way back i went to a bookshop called 'the works' they had many items on sale, and bought myself a lovely 3-in-1 book about life, i dunno i guess i need a new perspective. i need advice on how to cope with people in a difficult position, and really i just wanted something that i could learn from on the train to and from work. i got myself another edition of the theories book - i really liked the science version so i decided to take the theories explained version too. its an awesome book that introduces you to complex science concepts.. awesome awesome stuffies :D
is it weird that i am seeking advice from books? i hope not..
i was speaking to this lady who does agency work, shes got 19 years of experience and was telling me about her likes and dislikes about care. i found the conversation highly insightful and very reassuring. at least i know i'm on the right tracks :3 just that little boost of confidence from someone with experience helps so much, and kinda motivated more to carry on with what i'm doing. lovely day - unlike tomorrow which i fear is going to be so demanding on me both mentally and physically. i started making record of my steps on my ipod today. i did a total of 6000 steps today (excluding the walking around done at work) my day target is 10000 steps woo xD
hopefully tomorrow's steps would be slightly more considering i'll be going all over the place insha'allah... so to speak.

needz moar powaa

to lift things. i went to hull today. i laughed so hard at mum's expression when she heard of my plans for today, which at an unexpected series of events, worked smoothly. i woke up late, of course, but blame that on my extra curricular activities, i.e. zombie slaying.

nevertheless, i improvised - ended up in the train station in time for my train. hull is such an easy town centre to navigate to! there are 2 shopping malls (at least i discovered 2...) and 2 high streets: the old and the new, which are somehow interlinked by an ally way making it so convenient! theres a market there too but i didn't go deep into the old town centre. today my objectives were to find something for graduation - oh and i tried nike lunar swift 2+ and lunar glide + - they were both super comfy but i prefer lunar swift as it was lighter and better fitting - plus the colours were amazing but i still find that new balance 1026 pair that i found in TKMaxx by far were much better quality, durability despite being slightly fugly.

nike lunar swift 2+ score: 8/10 too expensive

nike lunar glide + score: 7/10 too expensive but pretty o_o

new balance 1026 - these babies own! score: 9/10 fugly but amazing fit & support
i bought new smart shoes, the amazingly fitted smart trousers from warehouse, and 'basic' (probably referring to the design, its a little common imo) but amazing in quality shirt that complements any smart trousers very well - it looks so good, even better than my monsoon and miss n smart tops! i'm very happy with it :3
i also found amazing skinny jeans in stone white/ dimmed white colour that i have been eyeing for a while in the H&M store but i found in better quality at Zara, i think its cheaper too. i also bought a planner for next year from paperchase, a mask to exfoliate my face, which has been lighting up like a christmas tree full of bumps and lovely acne.. i dunno whats going on, perhaps because of the amount of travelling i've been doing? maybe because i've had less green tea, theres been more breakouts? i haven't been applying any makeup, so that isn't the problem... hmm. also my hand rash returned.. i did spaghetti yesterday, and i had steam cooking my hand causing it to become sensitized. considering the fact that i have sensitive hands, this sensation turns into dermatitis - g'dammit!
i think i broke the bank today, seriously... my weekend's money earned, went poof today ;_; time to retreat into shopping hibernation....
i started bodyrocking today - first exercise: transform your booty workout. it wasn't as bad as zuz made it sound.. i was doing the forms properly, without weights though since i'm a beginner, sweated a little... i don't feel like it did much :L meh.. i'll be doing another tomorrow along with weighing and sorting out my fridge, eating my fruits.... and yeah. i think i may go town tomorrow, i mean nottingham, well, maybe... because i really want the blazer to complement the trousers i bought regardless of the fact that it doesn't look great.. i need something that matches and the price on this baby is just too hard to resist. i'll probably get skipping rope too - but thats it! i'll be walking it there too insha'allah :3 exercise exercise exercise! i think my body is finally lean enough to carry out some fat exorcism LOL i don't get tired from a whole day's walking anymore, i need extra things to cause pain and suffering to fat.
